MSOA Degree Minor

Seaguri is a small side table developed as part of a design exploration—an opportunity to experiment with new materials and processes. Birthed from being drawn to the beauty of sea-glass found whilst on a beach in Greece, Seaguri manifested this in a simple intention: to create a functional piece of furniture that was also able to communicate a deeper narrative about material transformation and value.

Seaguri investigates the harmonisation between everyday glass waste and a refined furniture exemplification. By reimagining discarded glass through considered processing and composition, the piece elevates an overlooked material into something enduring. The result is a study in contrast and cohesion, where irregular textures meet smooth surfaces.

Each piece of glass carries subtle variations in tone and texture, aiming to display the beauty in everyday waste.
